A low-speed vehicle is a 4-wheeled motor vehicle whose speed attainable in one mile is more than 20 miles per hour and not more than 25 miles per hour on a paved level surface. It may not be operated on any highway where the speed limit is more than 35 miles per hour. The MSO or title must clearly identify the vehicle as a low-speed vehicle. An Application for Title and Registration and a Low-Speed Vehicle Affidavit (MV-2012) is required. The vehicle is licensed through the county treasurers office under the current Noncommercial Vehicle License Fee Schedule.
